makanan yang tak memorable

bila tak puas hati dengan makanan....
tak boleh la...tak boleh blah foodcourt jusco one utama....walaupn nama food court...makanan yang dijual kenalah make sure makanan berkualiti...bila berkualiti kat sini...aku maksudkan sedap...dahlah sudu tak cukup...saya merayap satu food court cari sudu, orang lain pun buat macam tu...

dulu macam best foodcourt kat jusco...sekarang cam tak best...lagi-lagi ada satu gerai tu dia tukar tukang masak dia kepada lelaki...makanan tak sedap langsung...

yang lagi buat tak puas hati, ada satu gerai tu...nak order 'omelette fried rice' pun...dia cakap takde...apa je bende dlm omelette fried rice?...telur...and nasi kan?...boleh dia cakap habisss??...chet!

so jalan punya jalan..pilihan terbaik...ni yg paling baik antara yang tak terbaik laa....hinggaplah ku ke gerai 'Mini wok'...sebab nampak macam  best...macam je...presentation menggunkana periuk kuali mini tu memang menarik tertarik...tapi...tak da'bomb pun

Tom Yam fried rice...rm7.90

Jangan tertipu dengan udang yang kelihatan macam cantek...perlu ingat...sekiranya kita describe sesuatu benda itu dengan perkataan 'MACAM' di depan...memang tak betul laaa 'macam' tu...

tak ingat nama sebab tak sedap lalu tak memorable

gambar di atas...seperti makan makanan di hospital...tiada garam....tak tipu..malah masih terdapat gumpalan nasi yg tak tergoreng....macam tu lebih baik aku balik rumah masak telur mata kerbau...makan dengan nasi goreng letak kicap cap kipas udang...malah aku boleh tambah ikan bilis goreng...

note to all mall with food court...bila select gerai utk foodcourt...tolong cari yg boleh cater makanan yang sedap....-End-

a day of munch

While people are working on Monday...I was chillin around with a hot teacher looking for food...:)..oh yummy!!!..:)...

Was at Alamanda...food court...its been awhile since I have last had a waffle...so, hit the 'Waffle Stop' to had some...I love waffles...will bought everytime I have the chance too...wish I have a waffle maker (is that what they called it?)...If I have one at home...would definitely customized my waffles...add a little bit of vanilla...chocolate chips...banana?..:).

So I ordered 'Choc-A-Nut'...Belgian size...cost about rm5.30, size of the waffles differ from the small kiosk we usually found in stores...this one is fluffy...soft...oh..best serve warm...the taste of the waffle was ok...must eat hot!!!...well...I prefer my waffle with extra chocolate sauce...well...who doesnt eh?...Those whom like their waffle soft would definitely love Waffle Stop. As for me, I love it being serve...hot and crispy. Crispy food always gets me. :).

Choc-A-Nut

So later...me and my company had dinner at Selayang. A restaurant called 'Suria station' situated right infront of Stadium Selayang. I had Alfredo and my company had Penang Char kuey Teow...I always love the alfredo here. I am not sure what an original mexican food should taste like, does the tomato based taste more or the cheese or do they balanced out each other?....but I love my mexican with a little bit of sweetness in them...and more cheese...and of course...the tomatoes...the alfredo here had that taste of 'smokiness' in them...bet that came from the sausage they use to prepared it. :). However, if you have alfredo more than once a week at this restaurant...memang muaklah :(

Alfredo

This is what my company had....
Penang Char Kuey Teow

I dont know whats up with the taste of their kuey teow tonight...they dont taste as good as it used to...uhm...chef lain kot?...I found out that the taste of their food vary everytime I had my meal here...when its good...it really is good...The penang char kuey teow does not taste so good tonight...a little bit sour...basi kot one of the ingredient?...eh?..

However, do come to Suria Station, they do had some varieties of food there...:).Do taste their mexican selection. :)...till then...adios :)

I forgot to snap pics of the muffins we had. Flavors chosen were banana and vanilla

Venue: Kenny Rogers Roasters, Alamanda Putrajaya

All you can eat Dim Sum @ Quality Hotel Shah Alam

Dim dim sum. Dim dim sum. Dim dim dim sum dim sum dim sum (ok, nyanyi cara lagu Chinese New year tu ok). Hahahah

We the foodies were at Quality Hotel Shah Alam yesterday for our 2nd dim sum session. This time we brought Surie (fellow course mate/foodie) along as she didn't get the chance to join us on the 1st trip here. And the other reason for this 2nd dim sum session was that we were HOOKED with it!. Sangat SEDAP!.

The were lots varieties. Every dish served on the table was tasty and lip-smacking especially those fried ones (there were the yam and chicken fried dumpling, fried yam cake, banana fritters and red bean sesame ball). The steamed ones were prepared al dante way. The texture was just right. Not too soggy nor chewy. But too me most the steamed ones tasted kinda same as all we filled with minced chicken and prawns. But the best was the one wrapped with foo chuk (soy a skin). The fried ones were not oily (guess that the chefs made sure that the oil was heated up to the correct temperature so that the little delicacies were not. Alamak how to say this eh? Orang melayu cakap " tak makan minyak"). LOL. go figure eh. Our personal favourite was the steamed BBQ chicken pau. The steamed BBQ chicken pau was so good! Sgt gebu! Soft and moist!. We ordered that 3 times.Hahaha.  However, the tau fu far dessert wasn't that good as the sugar syrup had a funny taste. Tasted like cough syrup but i assumed that the weird taste came from the syrup water from the tinned fruit cocktail. We pretty much put that dessert aside.

So...lets feast our eyes shall we?.

Us, the postgraduates

Starter: Chicken dumpling with mushroom and crabstick soup. Yummayyhhh

BBQ Chicken Pau yang sangat GEBU (favourite kami ni, siap tapau lagi..hahah)

The spread. Steamed version in bamboo basket (ok, sila telan air liur sekarang :p)

Oh hello there little darlings

 More spread

The fried ones (L-R): Banana and Yam Fritters (Wrapped in popiah skin and fried till perfection), Red bean sesame ball, Fried Yam cake. Wicked i tell you Lipsmaking!.

Tau fu far with fruit cocktail...Not to our liking

Foodies (Far and Surie) displaying the oh so sedap fried yam and carrot kueh. It tastes like Char Kuey Teow exactly but minus the kuey teow. Yums!

Foodies (Mai and Ayep). Enjoying every bite of the selections.

Overall, we enjoyed our lunch. Pure satisfaction. It was all smiles for us. "Gendang gendut tali kecapi, kenyang perut, SANGAT HAPPY". ;)

We rate: 4 STARS
Dim sum Promo is till December. Only available for LUNCH.Priced at RM28++ @ Quality Hotel Shah Alam

Foodie Fira signing off! Have a great weekend filled with great food and shared with great company!
